About this event
The League of Women Voters of North County San Diego (LWVNCSD) has scheduled an online forum Monday, April 27, 2026, 6:45-8:45 PM for candidates running in the June 2 primary election for the open seat in District 5 of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors. The current Supervisor, Jim Desmond, has reached his term limits and cannot run for re-election.
Norma Contreras, John Franklin, Kyle Krahel, and Sasha Miller have confirmed that they will be in attendance. LWVNCSD will moderate the forum, which will be conducted according to our guidelines. League forums are not a debate. They are structured to offer a fair and impartial platform for all participants. Candidates will each give one-minute opening and closing statements and will be given equal time to respond to questions. The public is encouraged to submit questions for the candidates online by April 25, 2026.
