Local Program Planning is a grassroots process where members come together to shape the League’s work for the year ahead. At this meeting, we decide which issues the League will study, educate on, and take action around—setting the foundation for how we focus our time, energy, and resources.
We begin by reviewing our current positions and deciding, through consensus, whether to keep, update, or drop them.

Next, we set priorities by proposing up to three Issues for Emphasis—key areas the League will focus on this year (e.g. climate change, housing, or other timely community issues).
As you consider suggesting an issue, please think about:
• Whether the issue is timely and impactful
• Whether our League is well suited to address it
• Most importantly, whether there are enough members willing to work on it
