8. What should be done at the federal level, if anything, to combat the high cost of health care?
9. Please explain why you do or do not support setting spending limits for political campaigns and providing public funding for all candidates who agree to take no private contributions.
10. What measures would you support, if any, to provide voting representation in the U.S. Congress for American citizens living in the District of Columbia?
11. How can civil liberties be preserved while giving our government necessary tools to fight terrorism?
12. What, if anything, should the federal government do about immigration?

Think Ahead-Before the debate, ask yourself which issues are most important to you, and jot down what you'd like to learn from each of the candidates.

Are They Answering the Question? Pay attention to how the candidates answer the questions.Are they specific? Sincere? Knowledgeable?

Keep Track of Topics-Are the candidates being asked about your priority issues? Are the questions fair and pertinent?

Talk it out! +Afterwards, talk about the debate with your friends & family. Did the debate sway your decision? Did you learn something new about the candidates' positions?
